I was under the impression this was his new "hobby" and not his actual job. Assuming I am correct and this is his hobby, if he continually does this day in and day out, it will be more like a job than a hobby.
I used to repair and build computers in my basement. I started doing it for dun, but it quickly became a second job. Every day after I got thru work at my regular job, I went home and repaired, built/rebuilt computers. At first it was fun, then after awhile it wasn't fun anymore, it was a second job. The money was good, but there are many things in life more important to me than money. Taking my wife out to dinner, playing catch in the backyard with my grandson, helping our daughter remodel her bathroom, stuff like that I place more importance on than making more money. But, I guess that's just me.
Anyway, I finally quit working on computers for just anybody, and now I do it only for myself and for a few close friends who have computer problems. Other than that I just turn down the work unless I am bored and want something to do. But that seldom happens because with the early Spring weather we are having, I have been going golfing practically every day. Also, in a week or so I am having some concrete poured for our new 24 X 36 garage. I will be building it myself so that should keep me busy for at least a week or two.
