JDLilly,

There have been a number of good suggestions given and the problem could be resolved depending on the cause which most of the time does not require a new carb.

I've run into the problem you have described several times and it was the gas cap vent that was blocked. Have you tried runing with the gas cap loose?

It's not that the new WD-40 is crap, it's that years ago they used to use propane as a propellant, which made it an excellent primer. Now they use carbon dioxide, and it's not flammable, so it's no longer any good for priming an engine.
You gotta know how it works, before you can figure out why it won't!
