Bandit,
Governor is centrifugally operated with engine speed. As engine speed increases,
centrifugal governor gear and spool push outward on governor arm which closes
the throttle linkage. If....when you increase engine speed, you cannot
FEEL the
governor lever the throttle link hooks to being pushed close.....the governor is
NOTWORKING. Weights on gear may have come out from lip of spool. Check linkages
and clamp for anything that may have come loose. You may have to pull the side
cover and do some internal repairs. Not expensive....just a bit time consuming
because of having to remove all the PTO attachments.
