Postby bleachedpc » Wed Aug 29, 2012 6:55 pm

Hello, The engine has compression ran for 2 minutes last year. The deck is stuck in the down position. I having a hard time rolling the tractor in neutrel. Mine is a 5 speed trannsmission. I know some of these have a roll lever under the seat or by the gas pedel mine does not. The front left one is the only one that holds air. the front right might take fix a flatt. The back left the valve needle is have way out and the back right the valve needle is broke off. I'm think of replacing the valve needles to see if the back tires hold air. What ever insight you can give me would be great

So Far Ive change the oil put on a carb that does not leak wil fuel shut off tested key switch with volt meter and light bulbe tester and no volts and the light bulb don't light up. The engine has spark and I have to jump the stater with battery ive yet to get the engine to run What ever insight you can give me would be great here are some youtube vids of what I did I also been trying to get help on youtube please watch the vid to see what I;m working on thank bleachedpc

Can you get the model and serial number for us? That would be most helpful for us.

 there is no release lever on a gear driven LT, release levers are used on hydro/ hydrostatic trans. One of your problems of not being able to roll it is three flat tires, another problem might be the brake pads are froze to the caliper. Try shooting some starter fluid/gas in the carb. to see if it will fire. An like The Yard King stated tractor numbers please. :usa:

if you try jumping at the starter, make sure key is on,and a LITTLE shot of spray start.to see if it will kick.make sure it a good runner, before you get a battery, solenoid, fix flats, deck work, ect.make sure the oil is full. When she starts dont let it run to long without the blower housing. (overheat) good luck

pour gas down the carb and well the it runs smooth no hic ups It chokes it self out I have to figure out how to make a manual choke there is nothing hooked to it and the choke flap falls in the carb and chokes out the engine its a 1984 11hp briggs. also the carb seems to be very fond of puking gas out the mouth of it staight in the air.   Yes I know not not to buy anthing thing before I check pully deck tires etc. not sure how to get the console of to change ket switch. I know the steering wheel has to come off. I also forgot to get the model number off it cuz I got all happy cuz it runs  :usa: when snow hits I'm done with it thanks Mike Bleachedpc
