  chaenactis.jpg - Chaenactis (Chaenactis douglasii var. douglasii) Also called Dusty-maiden or Douglas' Dusty-maiden. This plant looks a little like Duffuse Knapweed (a very noxious weed) before it blooms. So, don't dig it up. I have seen them side by side hiking the canyon in from Snow Mountain Ranch. It can be found from white to pink in color.
