| Western Larch (Larix occidentalis) Often called a Tamarck. The only Conifer that has deciduous needles. They turn golden and drop every Fall before Winter sets in. Many an amateur wood cutter has sawed down a "dead" Tamarck, only to find it was a live one. | |
