| Spring Whitlow Grass (Draba verna var. boerhaavii) Also called Spring Drapa. One of the smallest wildflowers you will see, the center pistil is about the size of a ball point pen. Blooms in early Spring with the buttercups and only opens up wide when the Sun is bright. Note: A good example of the 4 main flower parts, the outer green calyx (sepals), the white corolla (petals), the six stamens (filament and anther) and the center pistil (ovary and stigma). | |
