  prairiestar_slender.jpg - Slender Prairie Star (Lithophragma tenellum var. thompsonii) One of the beautiful Prairie Stars or Woodland Stars. A small wildflower that grows only 6" to 8" tall. It looks similiar to the Bulbous Prairie Star, but without the red bulblets and has a fuzzy pink calyx. Petals often will be divided into 5-7 segments, with two small ones at the bottom.
